Position Overview:

is seeking a dedicated Internist|Family Medicine Physician to join a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Highlands, NC. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population while working in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Work Schedule:

?Full-time: 40 hours|week (36 clinical hours + administrative time).

?Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

?Telehealth: 2 - 4 weekends per year for outpatient triage.

Qualifications:

?Education: MD|DO degree from an accredited medical school.

?Licensure: Active North Carolina medical license.

?Certification: Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

?Experience: New graduates are welcome.

?Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHR systems and telehealth platforms.

?Soft Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

?Provide comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute|chronic conditions.

?Develop personalized care plans emphasizing preventive health and chronic disease management.

?Collaborate with specialists to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care.

?Participate in telehealth triage services during designated weekends.

?Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with practice standards.

?Mentor support staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
