Cardiothoracic Surgery - $3,000 Signing Bonus! CVT Surgical APRN (8am-5pm |Monday through Friday Schedule)—Tulsa, Oklahoma
We are seeking a Experience in cardiovascular surgery or cardiology preferred. Would be able to provide comprehensive patient assessments; collaborate with attending physician to order and interpret medical testing to determine diagnosis and treatment of illness; prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, etc; provide and educate patients regarding their illness process as well as have an in-depth understanding of disease process and surgical procedures including but not limited to coronary artery bypass surgery, lung surgery, carotid surgeries, vascular surgery and thyroid|parathyroid surgeries; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient care; consult other specialty services as indicated; have an understanding and be able to manage other co-morbidities including COPD, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, pneumonia, etc.; be able to manage chronic illness and post-operative care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting as related to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. $120,000-$130,000 base plus WRVU Incentives, Medical, Dental Vision, 30 days of PTO, 401K with Matching Contributions. $3,000 signing bonus and relocation allowance.
Role and Scope of the Provider position:
As the provider, you will oversee care for patients in the ICU including CABG|valve surgeries, ECMO, aortic dissections, percutaneous and implantable VADs and a multitude of vascular procedures.
• Perform bedside procedures including central lines, arterial lines, PA catheter placement and others
• Participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds
• Progress notes
• Placing orders in the EMR
• Prescribing medications in accordance with state guidelines
• 10-12 patient encounters per day
Education and experience requirements:
• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or Physician assistant studies
• ANCC or AACN board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or NCCPA board certified Physician Assistant
• BLS, ACLS
• ICU experience preferred
• Cardiology experience a plus
