Kick back in your easy chair while truly helping your patients. This physician will be working from our Galveston office practicing 100% telemedicine while treating HIV patients. We are considering Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Infectious Disease Physicians. This position will provide you the opportunity to become certified as a specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine within the first 6 months.
Job Overview
This specialty position oversees HIV and HCV treatment for patients. Works under the direction of the Associate Medical Director. Supervises 5 NP/PA positions, 2 clinic staff, 2 medical assistants and one clerk. Oversees case management. Physician will serve on Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee as an expert in HIV and HCV cases.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas
- Ten (10) years of progressive management/leadership and patient care experience, practical experience in Tele-Medicine
- Board Certification in any of the following fields: Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
- Electronic Utilization Review, and Quality Improvement is desirable.
